Amber is our pastry chef and is so excited to sweeten up your next event. Being raised in a french + italian family means Amber has been in the kitchen since she could walk.

After meeting Oscar in 2015, she introduced him to the world of sharing love through food. Flash forward 7 years and she captures exceptional visual stories about what and how we eat. Amber is our head of pastry and is extremely excited for you to try her desserts, breads, and pastries.

When she isn’t in the kitchen, Amber spends her time educating children, adventuring in the great outdoors and hosting endless dinner parties.

Oscar grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Originally a business major at Saint Mary’s, it wasn’t until his early 20’s he realized his passion for the kitchen.

Oscar has bounced around many different kitchens throughout Nova Scotia until the pandemic when him and his partner Amber created Wave Tacos, focusing on delivering Family Style Taco Kits and eventually moving into The Local for a weekly pop up kitchen.

Fast forward three year, Wave Tacos still has its weekly pop up and Oscar is the head of Food Operations at The Local, Marquee Club and Seahorse Tavern with Wave Foods handling all Food Services.

Oscar has been a featured chef in several  plated dinner series such as Cahoots Cook Collective, and The Secret Garden.
